Dear Lootius,

We tend to hate AI because it feels fake. We fear it might replace us, our jobs, our creativity, even our value. And indeed AI did already in many ways. Also in Entropia, AI is showing up more and more. And in real life, AI can do almost anything now. Translations, rewriting, image generation, music, even voiceovers, and you can get your own AI boy- or girlfriend.

At work, I’ve used AI to translate and transform texts for commercial use, and I have to admit the results are impressive. The market moves incredibly fast, and the possibilities are growing by the day. On a personal level, it’s a market I tend to really dig into in future. And I’ve already looked into AI generated videos, images and now music.

As a writer in my spare time, I’ve written books and poems. I recently took one of my poems and fed it into Suno.com‘s AI song creator, and the result truly amazed me. You can tell it’s AI. It doesn’t quite have that human nuance or spark to it. But it’s catchy, it used my own words in beautiful ways, and the voice fittingly named TheNun, feels oddly personal.

At a point I wish to pair that with videos from Entropia, use a little creative editing or even Sora, and suddenly I will have a full AI-created music video; written by a human, brought to life with digital magic.

AI and Avatars: The Human Behind

Avatars are like AI, fake too, in a way. So is TheNun. But the persona we project through them is very real. The thoughts, the voice, the passion – those are human. But sometimes people forget that behind AI or behind every in-game avatar, is a living, breathing person. Someone with a history. Someone with a heart.

I was 35 when I started playing Entropia. That was 20 years ago. Today, I’m a (semi) normal woman with a (semi) normal life, kids, and a few more lines on my face and fat on my bones that I had back then. But I definitely have the same energy, and the passion for this Universe burns inside me more than ever before.

People often talk about meeting up outside game. But that’s where things can get complicated. Expectations creep in. Some project their fantasies onto avatars – also those enhanced by AI. They imagine you in a certain way, and that image rarely matches reality.

The Weight of a Fantasy

I’m not afraid to show who I am in real life. I never have been. But what does scare me, is when people confuse the avatar with the person behind it, and get so dazzled and obsessed by a game-generated image or AI-crafted voice – that they forget the human underneath.

I don’t look like TheNun at all. Yes, she’s a part of me … an extention of me – but definitely not all of me. Just like everybody else I’ve lived a full life; I’m a woman with years of stories, joy, loss, gain, faults and failures but also lots of success and qualities, and scars both visible and invisible. I can’t control what people believe about me. And you can’t either. But what we can control is whether we stay true to ourselves and to those around us.

People will always project. They’ll create versions of you in their minds, whether shaped by AI, built by avatars, or filtered through hope and imagination. That version is rarely the full truth. We shouldn’t be judged by our appearance in real life, but by who we are as human beings. You can be breathtakingly beautiful on the outside and still carry an ugly soul. True beauty or ugliness always finds a way to shine through.

And I know I’m not alone. I’ve met others in Entropia who carry the same unease, the same sense of being misunderstood, or flattened into a fantasy. But we are who we are. And who we are was forged through experience, not perfection. Through growing older, having children, building friendships, losing people, surviving – living and loving. Be proud of it. The alternative is not wished for.

AI and avatars might extend our youth, our minds, our reach. But AI should never erase our humanity. So I hope we all learn to look beyond the filter and glowing, beautiful, sexy pixels – and that we will want to chose the real person over the fantasy.

Still, if used correctly, AI isn’t the enemy. Neither are avatars. As long as it moves you, inspires you, and connects you to the real deal.

Behind every avatar is a beating heart.
Behind every song, a soul.

With love and passion,
TheNun

Below are two poems, I wrote in December 2024, turned into music videos with music composed by AI, March 2025. At Atlas Haven Radio, we will create a playlist with Player generated music. So please, hit us with your song tracks on our Discord Server.
